Environment Emulation System
Environment Emulation System
All climates you ever wished for.
This system allows the simulation of all relevant climate factors that influence the genome, transcriptome, proteome and matabolome. Experiments using plants, cell cultures and
microorganisms can be carried out with a choice of an extensive range of defined environmental factors including temperature, humidity, pressure, light, atmosphere (CO2, O2, N2, ozone) and salt. Furthermore, the system is ideally suited for studying environmental influences on material aging.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Environment Emulation System EES 4667. Dr. Wernecke Feuchtemesstechnik GmbH. Obtained 2013.
Three separate reaction chambers allow for independent time series. Climate conditions can be kept stable over hours and even days or changed in pre-defined cycles. The chambers also enable the extraction of atmosphere samples during the experiment. Sensitive sensors allow the measurement of temperature and the availability of water within the samples.
Conditions & Ranges
Temperature: -40°C to 140°C
Relative Humidity: 10%rH at -40°C up to 100%
Pressure: Minimum 200ha (equals >8000 m above sea level)
Atmosphere: CO2, O2, N2, ozone
Light: Daylight, UV light
Salt vaporization in separate chamber
