Systems for Microbe Inactivation

Pulse Generator

Non-thermal microbial inactivation.
Pulsed electric fields (PEF) are considered as a novel technique for food preservation as sensory and physical properties of foods can be conserved. This technique has the potential to replace thermal processing methods by allowing large reductions in energy, labor and running costs. Unlike thermal pasteurization PEF does not affect vitamins, proteins and other valuable nutritional and functional components.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Pulse Generator. ScandiNova Systems AB. Obtained 2017.
This dual-energy pulse modulator is designed to handle a wide range of different magnetrons in the range 1.0 MW to 3.1 MW in a very compact enclosure. The dual-energy models are for applications where there is a need to switch between two different energy levels. Everything from a pure high-power pulse modulator to a turn-key RF station including the magnetron, control system and related components is provided.

Ultra-high temperature processing

Inline pasteurization and sterilization.
The compact HT220 system enables you to run a trial with less than 3 liters of product. This reduces the required amount of ingredients, preparation time, start-up time and processing time. Due to the easy accessibility to the heat exchangers, modifying the process configuration is simple to carry out within a minimum of time. A wide range of applications is possible which include beverages, food & pharmaceuticals.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
UHT Sysetm HT220 DSI.  OMVE. Obtained 2017. This system offers a high level of automation with a process flow rate of 20L/h. All manual controls are easy to access from the front and a clear dynamic overview of the process (temperature, flow, pressure) is given on the 10” TFT touch screen with a high resolution.

Ultrasound processing

Powerful ultrasonic lab homogenizer.
The UP200St is a powerful and reliable ultrasonic device that is easy to use can be operated continuously 24h/7d. Applications of the powerful and reliable UP200St include homogenizing, emulsifying, dispersing, deagglomeration & wet-milling (particle size reduction), cell disruption & disintegration, extraction, degassing, as well as sonochemical processes.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
UP200St. Hielscher. Obtained 2017. This system has a power of 200W and enables frequencies of 26kHz. Titan-sonotrodes are available with a diameter of 2 mm and 7 mm, thus covering working volume ranges from 2 to 1000 mL and can therefore process up to 200L/h.
